iPad Pro not receiving email.

My IPAD Pro has suddenly stopped receiving email. I can still send email, and I still can receive email on my IPhone. My settings have not changed. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix, or what the problem is?

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with receiving email on your iPad. It's really good to know that the same email account works as expected on another device. Were you able to follow the steps in the guide you recently reviewed? Here's that link, just in case: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If this is regarding an iCloud account, use these steps instead: If iCloud Mail isn't working

Thanks for your prompt response. I have tried all of the suggestions except for deleting the email account and reentering it. I really don't think that's the problem because I can still receive and send email on my IPhone and my MAC Book Pro, and the settings are the same on each device. In addition someone else is on the same account and they are still receiving and sending mail on their devices with the same settings. I can still send mail on my IPAD, I just cannot receive mail. The mail was working fine up until a few days ago. Is there anything else that I can do?

You're very welcome! Although this is only happening on your one device, it is still recommended that you delete the account and add it back, for fresh connections. Deleting and adding back is only recommended if you have an IMAP account, not if you have a POP account as that will delete all the emails. Before deleting be sure it isn't a POP account. If you're concerned about deleting and adding it back or if the issue continues after those steps, we recommend reaching out to your email service provider to look into this more.
