Hi when i change my sim card from android to Iphohe, the date i started using I phone I am getting charged. How to stop charge. Though I m not using any service.

Hi, I have international roaming sim. Which i was using last 3 years in android phone. Now i change my sim to iphone 13 pro max. the day which i started to using it was being charged every day and getting deduction from my main balance. Even I off all the data, no sms no call beside that this is happening. I contacted with home country carrier via facebook but they are unable to trace the issue. I hope there need to get some setting change. Because in android it was automatically selected and shows roaming but here in iphone it not shows roaming but yes i m getting sms. I was getting sms in android phone as well but there was no any deduction.

Hello Deepak4,

Apple Support Communities is a great place for help, and we’re glad you were directed here from the article About cellular data roaming options for your iPhone and iPad

In the related article you came from there is a section titled Get help when you have roaming issues during international travel. Did you have the opportunity to review those steps, and adjust the settings as outlined in that article? If so, the next step would be to continue working with your carrier as they determine roaming charges.

You can also confirm your iPhone is running the latest iOS as this may help resolve any issues related to settings.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Take care!

Hello Deepak,

We appreciate those details, and we’re glad to hear you’re running the latest iOS. To confirm, did you have the opportunity to review the article About cellular data roaming options for your iPhone and iPad that was previously linked? If not, that is a great resource that can help with the cellular data issue you’re facing. In reference to not being able to make or receive phone calls, try the steps in the articles linked below.

If you can’t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can’t make or receive calls on your iPhone

If you continue to have issues after completing the steps in those articles, you’ll want to contact Apple next. You can find their contact details via the Get Support website.

Have a great day!

Dear Mr. Chris,

Thanks for your time and response. Please note i contacted the telephone authority engineer. when they go deep, they told me there is system in iphone where they ( the telecom authority) is getting automated sms back to them from my sim no. I asked them to send me the step which i need to off from my setting. Because i was using android since long, this is my first time and i am not that much aware. I am waiting for them to send me step or link so that this can be stopped.

Best Regards,

Deepak

Dear 1Smmith,

Thanks for your response. Yes my phone is working with latest ios. As i mention there is no any data connectivity nor call or sms sending from that sim. Yes i m getting sms from bank and other firms which i used to get in android phone same sim. Getting sms is free. Let see. I am not sure if i have to go some special on / off in ios. Because in android I did not go though any steps just off my cellular data and no call no sms and there was no any deduction but here i m getting.

Best Regars

Deepak
