Did you buy this new at an Apple Authorized Reseller, or did you buy it at a third party reseller. If the latter, the warranty date started when the reseller bought it from Apple.

You bought your phone from a gray market reseller.

The warranty began the day it was sold by Apple or an authorized reseller.

Technically, you bought a used phone.
