I have proof of purchase that I bought this watch, and I need to override the activation code that my ex-boyfriend put on it so that I can pair it to my phone

I have proof of purchase of the watch that I bought for my boyfriend, and then caught him cheating on me and kicked him out of the house, sad story I know. I still have the watch and I’m trying to pair it with my phone however I need his pass code and he is refusing to give it to me, is there a way I can override all of that showing that I am the owner of the phone?

You can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Online Activation Lock Removal Tool.

Or this;

If you can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.
