iPhone 13 coverage

I recently upgraded from an iPhone X to a 13 pro max. The problem with this is that in rural areas where there is only 1x coverage, my new phone does not work! Does apple plan to fix this, or will people in rural areas be stuck with older and slower iPhone models?

OK I found it, looks like CDMA by Verizon?

OK yes you are stuck until they put out 4G masts at least.
