Focus status is disabled but I see it on with iPhone

In iMessage I have contacts who have the share focus status turned on when I don’t use focus mode at all and under my settings share focus is disabled. I try to turn it off but when I go back into that iMessage and contact it has turned back on itself. I’ve tried everything to shut this off. I hate this and it is driving me nuts every time a contact tells me my notifications are silenced when they aren’t. DND is off I have no focus mode settings applied. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have tried everything

Hello Alaskanmal84,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. Upon review of your post, it seems that you are unable to completely disable Focus. We can see why you’d want this taken care of, so let us help from here! Let’s start by reviewing the following article which may help: Turn a Focus on or off on iPhone. This explains how to correctly turn Focus on and off. It also explains how to delete a Focus you set up, which we advise trying next, then testing.

Please let us know if you have follow up questions, so we can continue assisting. Take care!
