Why does it keep asking for my card and billing address to update my apps and it says I need to pay but don’t tell me for what subscription and if it’s for what I think it is I already payed it on my phone

Why am I being charged to download free apps? I just opened this phone again, I signed into my Apple ID on this phone and it’s asking for a payment method. I put my card in and it’s trying to charge me 6 dollars. I understand that it’s peacock that it’s trying to charge me for but I’ve already paid my peacock. App Store/payment method/subscription I am unable to download any applications because it is wanting me to update my payment information. I tried and it’s not accepting. I removed all subscriptions and it’s telling me there is a subscription that needs my payment info. I am very disappointed in not being able to use my phone now because of a payment that is not needed
