How do I disable iCloud?

I absolutely HATE icloud. i don’t want any of my personal info, docs, photos stored there. All I want is to have the things I put on my iPad, iPhones, Mac to stay on these devices. I recently got a new ipad and I can’t even sign into it without it automatically hooking up to iCloud; which means every time I sign in all my stuff is transferred again to iCloud. I can’t use Bluetooth to transfer photos from my phone to my iPad like I did with my old iPad. Now everything needs to be signed in to iCloud every time! Please tell me there is a way to DISABLE iCloud from raiding my photos and docs on all my devices. Thanks in advance.

THREE TIMES NOW I’VE TRIED TO SUBMIT THIS ONLY TO KEEP GETTING THE, YOUR TIME HAS LOGGED OUT PLEASE START AGAIN MESSAGE!

I’m using an iPad Pro 12.9 5thGen.

Hi Robertsonmillar,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Sorry you've had such a time!

iCloud will always do whatever it has been set up to do on your devices.

Eg: You can easily turn iCloud off on your iPad.

Change your iCloud settings on iPad

Go to Settings  > [your name] > iCloud.

    • Turn off all the apps / features you don't want iCloud to use, such as Photos, Mail, Contacts, and Messages.

Above info. from the article from Apple support:

Set up iCloud on all your devices

Also:

How iCloud is set up on all your devices:

Says:

Note: When you turn off iCloud for an app or feature on a device,

information stored in iCloud for that app or feature is no longer available on that device.

However, it’s still available on other devices where iCloud is turned on for the app or feature.

AND, if you have a paid subscription to iCloud:

Says:

Change, or cancel your iCloud+ subscription

    1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
    2. Tap Manage Storage, tap Change Storage Plan, then select an option and follow the onscreen instructions.

Note: If you cancel your iCloud+ subscription, you lose access to the additional iCloud storage and iCloud+ features.
