After updating to OS Monterey the overlay for status icons indicating if files are on the cloud or save to my hard drive are no longer present.
Additionally, when ever I open a folder all files are automatically downloaded. Prior to the updating, files were only downloaded when opened.
How can I fix these issues?

After updating to OS Monterey the overlay for status icons indicating if files are on the cloud or save to my hard drive are no longer present.
Use the View Options for the List View to show the iCloud Status column (or ctrl-click on the column headers and add the iCloud Status column).
Additionally, when ever I open a folder all files are automatically downloaded. Prior to the updating, files were only downloaded when opened.
None of mine download when I open the folder. I don't know what would cause that.
