Blurry magnifier pictures.

The “magnifier” feature on my iPhone 7 takes blurry photos. It used to work really well in the past but since recent updates the pictures are blurry. How can I fix this?

im reopening a discussion from earlier this year. I have the same problem since upgrading iOS to iOS14. Now on iOS15. Still no fix? A real pain!

Hi EssexPK,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We'd like to know more so we can help. Just to confirm, are you referring to zooming in with the Camera app? If so, how far are you zooming in before the images become blurry?

In the meanwhile, give the steps in this article a try: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working.

If that's not what you need help with, reply with more details.

Cheers.

Hi,

I believe this is an inherent problem that that others have had also.

This is in the “Magnifying App”.

I’ve zoomed on our out.

close and not so close. Varied positions basically.

It’s when you take the photo it comes out blurred. Whist zooming is fine. Just taking pictures it results in a blurred pic.

this never happened before ios14.

I always thought I was doing something wrong until I read that other people were having same problem.

And yes, I’ve tried rebooting, off on, alt ctrl delete, jumping up and down praying.

it’s not right.

please help.
