How can I be in bed less time than I am asleep?

So… how is this possible? What is really going on here?

It is not possible. You are reading the bar chart incorrectly. There are two shades to the bar chart. The darker shade is the time that you were in bed but were Awake. The lighter shade is the time that you were in bed AND were asleep. The total time that you were in bed is the addition of the two numbers.

From the chart that you posted, it translates to:

  1. Total time in Bed = 10 Hours and 5 Minutes
  2. Total Time Awake in Bed = 3 Hours and 45 Minutes
  3. Total Time Asleep in Bed = 6 Hours and 20 Minutes

Hope this helps.
