tech support for my watch

I made a call on November 19th because it froze. An AMBER Alert was received by my apple 6 watch that is about 6 months old, and it froze. I called and was reset and it began to work. I called again today and was instructed by tech support to unpair my watch as it was to be returned once I received another new watch from them. She told me that I would be charged if I didn’t return the damaged watch.


I bought a warranty for 2 years upon the purchase of this watch.


I later got a confirmation and was requested payment information. I assumed that was in case I didn’t return the watch which is not working.


Am I correct? My card will not be charged unless I don’t return the watch.
