Can I use Quick Time Player on the iPad?

When you play video or open the video player app-it is a mobile version of quicktime.

There is no stand alone version for any mobile device.

I can't play Apples iPad advertising videos on the iPad, they start but withing a second they stop. I can sometimes see the download bar going, but I can't get the movies to play. If it doesn't do flash and it doesn't do quicktime, what will it do? Shouldn't I be able to play Apple Quicktime on and Apple iPad

There is no problem playing the iPad videos on the iPad. I've done it many times. If you are having difficulties perhaps you have some sort of networking problem or there is something wrong with your iPad.

I have the same problem with nearly all embedded videos. The video has been paused and I can see the loading progress, but the play button does't work.

This happened with the iPad 3.2 and still with 3.2.1
    Anyone having any ideas?

I just found a workaround. If I pause the video manually right before it starts, then wait until it has been loaded, I can hit the play button. As soon as the current playback position reaches the point where the video hasn't loaded yet, it will pause, but the Play button won't update, so I cannot resume playing. I have filed a bug report.
