thunderbolt3 external drives not showing up in mac os 12.01

Updated the os and the external drives both are thunderbolt3, no longer show up or connect to the iMac. If I boot up in Safe Mode, they appear ok. Once I restart in normal mode they don't show up.

Since it works when in Safe Mode that means that something not loaded in Safe Mode is causing the problem.

Download and run this app.

https://etrecheck.com/upgradeIt shows what is launched and other information and is very useful in finding causes of problems. After you first launch the app make sure you check Enable full disk access in the box in lower left.

After running the app use the app's feature to paste to clipboard. The in the text box for a reply in this forum click on the addition text icon. This is because the normal reply text box limits how much you can type.

They are Lacie 2Big Dock 16TB & 32GB daisy-chained into an OCW Thunderbolt 3 Dock. I have already checked cables and removed the dock as a possible cause of the problem. If the iMac is booted in 'Safe Mode' the drives show up fine. I can access the data on them as normal. Soon as the iMac is booted normally the drives disappear, again. This all started right after I upgraded to the new Mac OS 12.0.1.
