Problems since ios 15.1 update

Since updating to IOS 15.1 i have the following problems on BOTH iPhone and IPad:

-Battery doesn’t last half as long as usual, even after Optimising Battery.

-Won’t stay connected or auto connect to car’s Bluetooth (Car Play not available for my car)

-Often plays on/off again in Bluetooth mode when driving, as if iPhone not in range, even though it is.

(never did this before)

-Won’t connect Google Maps to Bluetooth, even though working on iPhone. But then doesn’t use iPhone speaker, so basically always silent even though speaker on Maps is active.

-Does the same when on a phone call.

-Gets very hot when using some apps even for a short while.

If you're trying to make your battery charge last longer, it's a good idea to take a look at what has been using all of the battery. Then adjust your usage or remove high consumption apps to extend the usage time of your charge. You can view a detailed battery usage breakdown in Settings > Battery.

About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you're having problems with a Bluetooth connection, you'll want to try disconnecting and reconnecting to that device. You can disconnect in Settings > Bluetooth, find the name of the device then select the info button on the right side of it and choose Forget This Device. Once it's removed, put your Bluetooth device in pairing mode and reconnect it.

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

When your device is heating up, are you getting the "Temperature Alert" message on the device? If not, then it is operating within its designed temperature range.
