IPhone 12 mini - Calendar and some apps laggy after 15.1 update

My IPhone 12 mini has become laggy after the iOS 15.1 update. I’ve taken it to the Genius Bar and basically been told that I should deal with it. I’ve tried many of things posted in the Apple forums and the web and could not fix it. This is bad as I use the calendar for work. Additionally other apps like Chrome, Waze, seem to be laggy. I’ve turn it off, rebooted it, reset it and nothing worked. I also installed 15.1.1 and still nothing. Is it time to change to Android?
