sent emails not showing up in sent folder

Today, I sent 4 emails and none of them showed up in my sent folder. Two of those emails, I sent to myself and I received them. Also those 4 emails did not show up as sent on the server's webmail but the two sent to myself did show up on the server's inbox. I am using Apple Mail with Monterey and Sonic.net.

Thank you for any light that might be shed on this matter.

ps: I did quit the mail program, restarted the computer and checked the mail preferences and made

sure that the right sent folder was checked. At this point, I CAN send messages that will end up in the sent folder. But what happened to those 4?

had same problem show up right after I updated to Monterey. Now emails go out to recipients (or so they tell me!), but don't show up in SENT folder. when someone sends me an email, I reply, and an arrow shows next to the email in the inbox indicating that I responded to it, but when I click that, error message says:

"Mail was unable to find your reply to the message “Re: blah, blah, blah”. You may have deleted the message."

I did NOT delete it. it just never showed up in the SENT folder.

Any ideas... this sucks...
