Does an original apple airpod say ‘’NOT YOUR AIRPODS’’

When a friend of mine pops open his Airpods pro it say NOT YOUR AIRPOD just as it connects, i wish to know if an original airpod can dish out that notification

Hi,

Yes it can. This pops up whenever one of the AirPods, or both AirPods, are associated to another Apple ID for Find My.

Sign into that Apple ID, remove the device, and this should resolve your issue.

I’d recommend to forget the device & reset AirPods.
