I forgot my password to time machine. Is there anyway to access

I forgot my time machine password. I originally configured it on wifi network with an older MacBook Pro running El Capitan. I no longer have the laptop and wish to connect the Time Machine directly to iMac Pro. Is there anyway to reset the Time Machine?
