Priority contacts

Hello! I am soon to own a Apple watch series 7. I would like to know how to set priority contacts, meaning I would still get notifications from people I choose, even with do not disturb. Could i also do this on my phone?

Hello Sprite8,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to allow notifications from specific contacts on an Apple Watch and your iPhone. We can help point you in the right direction.

You can use the feature called, "Focus" on both the Apple Watch and the iPhone. You'll be able to use "Do Not Disturb" and allow notifications to be received from specific contacts. Here's two helpful articles with additional details and the proper steps to take:

  1. Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  2. Use Focus on Apple Watch

Best regards.
