I cannot get the mouse open to replace batteries - advise please
I am afraid of breaking it.

really depend on the mouse, in some cases you should just connect the charger to the connector on the bottom of the mouse

Are you sure it is not re-chargeable mouse.
Exactly how are you trying to open it?
Is there a port slot on the bottom?
