Mychevrolet app

I had an iPhone 8 and upgraded to iphone 12. Copied over the apps and data. One app Mychevrolet which will connect to the vehicle enable remote commands such as start the vehicle, lock and unlock doors, etc. The app installed and will open, does connect to the vehicle, but none of the remote commands will enable. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times, no change in function.

The iPhone 12 is running 15.1.1. The app does not work, on the old iphone 8. The old iphone will connect via wi fi.

I did call the helpline for the app. They could not figure it out, but an advanced tech team will call back. The person I talked to suggested I contact iphone.

We understand that on your iPhone you’re encountering issues with the MyChevrolet app where the app will launch but the remote commands do not work.

It sounds like the app developers recommended you reach out to Apple and that may be something you want to consider. You can do that with this link - Contact Apple Support.

Updating the app, your iPhone and reinstalling the app are all perfect steps for this issue and sound like what you’ve done already. That’s the point at which typically the app developer comes in as the expert on an issue - If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.

Something to consider. Do you use any VPN or security software on your iPhone? If so, does removing those apps change anything? We ask this in that sometimes those apps can impede Wi-Fi and cellular data connectivity.
