Hello ~ Try this prior post by *Axel Foley * one of our excellent posters in this forum:

*Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). *

I have tried to force start using these directions and nothing happens. A little multi colored swirly design in circle shape goes round & round for awhile at the bottom of screen. The battery indicator is filled with white, is it supposed to be green?

Try a forced restart.

My phone will not allow me to shut it down or tap on any apps, it's frozen.

Having a similar issue. I was able to get the camera app open and take a few red birds in the snow pics. I have appt with Repair in am.
