Apple Cash says I received money even though I never did

So I received money from someone through iMessages. I tried to accept the money and it says I received it but it never showed up on my Apple Cash card. I researched many reasons why and found out that I needed to verify my identity where I then realized that you need to be at least 18 years old to send and receive money through Apple Cash. After this I tried to get the sending end to try and cancel the payment but on both of our ends it says that I received the money even though I never did. So where is the money and how do I get it refunded back to the other person since I can’t actually receive the money?
