Hi,

I would recommend attempting to force restart the device.

This is done in three steps:

  1. Press and release the volume up button
  2. press and release the volume down button
  3. press and HOLD the power button until you see the screen go black, and the Apple logo appears

If the device is able to complete the force restart, your issue should be resolved.

However, if unable to force restart the device, you can place it in recovery mode and plug into a Mac or PC to restore, erase, and reinstall the latest iOS.

To place a device in recovery mode, reference the above first steps for performing a force restart. This time, do not release the power button when you see the Apple logo appear, but instead when you see the recovery mode screen on the iPhone.

It should say Connect to iTunes. You’ll then release the power button and plug the device into your Mac or PC and start the restore process.
