Cellular of Apple Watch from US will work in India?

It seems to infer that an Indian carrier compatible model could be bought in the Europe/Asia Pacific region.

• Canada, U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico

• The rest of the world.

A cellular watch bought in the US will only function in North America,Canada,Mexico and Puerto Rico anywhere else it will function as a GPS only watch.
