Wake your Mac with a wireless keyboard, mouse or trackpad

Since the update to macOS Monterrey 12.0.1 I'm not more able to wake up the Mac using an external keyboard or a mouse; looking on this support article https://support.apple.com/en-ie/guide/mac-help/mchlp2664/mac there is no "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" option on my advanced bluetooth options. I'm using macOS in Italian.

any suggestion ?

Hello K1200R,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to wake your Mac with a wireless keyboard or mouse. We're happy to look into this with you.

We recommend that you restart your Mac and devices. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.

Shut down or restart your Mac

If the issue persists, try updating the Bluetooth settings while in safe mode. Starting in safe mode allows your Mac to run certain checks, remove caches, and prevent login items from automatically launching. This can isolate possible third party issues. Use the steps and information in the link below for assistance with safe mode:

Hello, and thx for the suggestions; however both of them did't work; I'm still missing the feature "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake up this computer" .. on Bluetooth advanced settings I only have 2 features (Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if no keyboard is detected" and "OpenBluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if no mouse or trackpad is detected" ).

Maybe it's a missing feature in Monterrey ? On BigSur it was present...

For your reference , I'm using macOS Monterrey 12.0.1 - latest version in Italian on a MacBook Air 2020 with Apple Magic Mouse 1 and Apple Keyboard .
