bug in libpthread: token from the kernel is 0

After installing macOS Monterey on my MacPro 2013, I can not run Visual Studio for macOS, just crash after running, and receive error repot attached below.

Same situation even for running Visual Studio for macOS installer just downloaded from Microsoft.

I also find any JetBrains IDE software cannot run for whatever version (some versions of 2019 and 2021 tested), and the same error report complaining:

BUG IN LIBPTHREAD: Token from the kernel is 0

Found maybe related information on, see LINE #1915:

https://github.com/apple/darwin-libpthread/blob/main/src/pthread.c

However, nothing abnormal on my MBP2019 16inch with MacOS Montery.

Hi ExSystem,

We understand you're having an issue with some apps crashing at launch, after upgrading macOS on your 2013 Mac Pro.

We recommend using the guidance outlined on the following page to troubleshoot the issue: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac

If necessary, proceed with the steps found in the Diagnose problems with your Mac article, linked at the bottom of the previous.

Cheers!

We appreciate you keeping the thread up to speed ExSystem,

If no the steps from the previous article didn't resolved the behavior, no hardware issues were found, and the issue is isolated to a single app, re-installing macOS might not be the best path forward.

We recommend contacting the developer of the app. They'll be the most familiar with their app, whether there's any new updates available or coming for any, and any steps that can be taken specific to that software.

You can connect with Microsoft for help with Visual Studio, here: Visual Studio for Mac Support

Take care!
