Apple ID spouses

Does,each spouse need to set up their own Apple ID? Or can they share one?

I would suggest that sharing an Apple ID is a really bad idea - and Apple discourages the practice too. See here.


It's no trouble to set one up for each person and then, if you wish to, set up a family sharing group

"Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six family members to share music, films, TV programmes, apps, books, an iCloud storage plan, subscriptions and more, all without sharing an Apple ID".
