Best way to import (only) iPhone images into Photos.app from many folders?
I'm a photographer and use Adobe Bridge to organise my images.
Photos that I have taken with my iPhones over the years I have moved into subject-matter folders on my hard drives together with other photos I have shot of the same event etc. I have never used Photos or its predecessors.
Now, however, I am thinking of using Photos for all images I have shot on my iPhones to be able to use iCloud Photos for easy access on (some of my) other devices and easy sharing. I am not interested in importing images I have shot with my other cameras.
I am therefore wondering which is the best way to get old iPhone photos from my hard drives into the Photos app.
For instance, should I simply go through the folders on my hard drives and copy images shot on iPhones into a new folder and then import that folder into Photos – is it that simple?
Or would it be better to first copy all iPhone photos into a similar folder structure (by year, event or such) and then import each such folder?
My idea would be to turn on iCloud Photos (with a suitably large subscription) only after the Photos import has been completed.
This concerns quite a few images over many years and I'm concerned to get it done right from the start.
Thank you very much in advance
