Thank you for the reply. Perhaps I should have been more precise in my question. When composing an e-mail the sent by "From" popup menu contains an e-mail address that is no longer active (@cableone.net) and is the top selection on the menu. That is the address that I need to remove,

In Apple Mail >> Top Menu Bar >> " Windows " pop down menu >> look for " Previous Recipients " and look inside for those to be Removed.
