Apple Watch activity issues

Why does my apple watch keep stopping my activity? Do I always have to put it on lock? I am extremely unhappy with this product.

Apple Watch locking Since the recent update my Apple Watch automatically locks while I’m wearing it. I have not had this issue until recently. I’m consistently checking it through out the day because it’s locks whenever it feels like it. Anyone else having this issue? Any resolutions?

See the 'Get reminders to end your workout' section in:

Also, you may be wearing the watch too loosely and you are inadvertently ending your workout:
