My notes dont accept my fingerprint and I dont remember the pasword, how can I recover that note?

There are cases where forgotten passwords mean the protected data is inaccessible. That happens with Time Machine backups, with Keychain password storage, with FileVault, and other such.

Apple uses biometric authentication as a shortcut, allowing longer and more robust passwords to be used. But Apple has not used biometric authentication as the sole access pass. It’s always been centrally the password, with a potentially-available shortcut.

Nope. That password is the only way.

There is no back door, secret unlock, bypass, or override.

That password is the only option.

Without that password, that data is inaccessible.

The fingerprint does not replace the password though, and there will be scenarios where you are required to enter the password to enable Touch ID again.

The bottom line is that using Touch ID is always a convenience thing, and there is a password or a passcode behind it. You cannot forget the password for your notes just because you tend to use Touch ID. Similarly you cannot forget your iPhone passcode just because you tend to unlock it with Touch ID.

Yeah I don't disagree that it'd be nice if there was a method to unlock them.

I've seen several posts of people with the same frustrations.
