Apple Watch 7 shows 'Software is up to date' even though 8.1.1 was released 10 days ago

I have an Apple Watch 7 that is running on watchOs 8.1. I would like to update to 8.1.1, but my watch and my iPhone 11 both think there is no update available for my watch. Is there any way to force a retry on the check for update? Or figure out why the update is not being detected?

WatchOS 8.1.1 is for Cellular models of Apple Watch 7. If you have a GPS only version, then your watch would be up to date at WatchOS 8.1
