How can I recover my data from Apple ID if I set up a new phone and create a new Apple ID?

For years I have shared an Apple ID with my dad and we also use family sharing for the whole family, but my dad and I have each other’s contacts and pictures and everything. I got a new phone and before I set it up I am wondering if I create a new Apple ID for myself if there’s any way to transfer my stuff or is the only option to lose all of my data?

Right now you have no "stuff," it's all your dad's.

Once you create your own ID, you can enable family sharing to share purchases, music, photos, etc. You can also migrate some content (non-purchased content) to your account by sharing, airdrop, email, etc.

That makes sense! But would all my music in Apple Music and my pictures and text messages would I not be able to restore those to the new phone and new Apple ID?
