If I buy a new iPhone 13pro through verizon, will I be able to continue to back up my phone with iCloud?

I'm already getting a request to join verizon cloud and not interested in switching. Every iphone i have purchased in the past I bought from apple to this is the first time I'm purchasing thru verizon. Thanks for your reply!
