iPhone remote and Apple Watch remote not working properly after last update.

Ever since the latest update, my iPhone remote loses connection with my Apple TV. It stays disconnected for a good amount of time (10-15 minutes) then allows me to connect again. I have rebooted everything multiple times, but I’m still having this issue. My apple watch will not even connect to the Apple TV and says to make sure I’m close enough ( I am). Please help!

As the software remote functionality works through the home network (Wi-Fi), consider sources of interference there. Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support
