how to turn off password saver on iMac

I have 1Password so I don't need the Apple password saver. It keeps popping up and covers the 1Password list of my passwords so now I can't see my 1Password passwords. I like the autofill with my name and such but I don't want the Apple pop up asking me if I want to save the password.

NO I don't! Is there a way to turn it off? I've Googled it and checked on this forum and it keeps telling me how to turn off my computer password. Not the same thing.

Thanks,

Susan

Hi pixiegirl72,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

There are some controls for Autofill that you can edit / turn off.

You may wish to experiment.

Eg: With credit card unticked, as shown below ...

there are no Autofill suggestions popping up when entering credit card details.

This article (link below) from Apple support explains / may give you more control.

Change AutoFill preferences in Safari on Mac:

https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/safari/ibrwa005/15.1/mac/12.0

Hope this helps :-)
