Side Car Apple Pencil

I currently use One Note for Taking Notes on my iPad and whenever I try using Sidecar to screen mirror, none of the writing from my apple pencil actually saves on the document and instead it just overlays the document and just moves with my cursor/doesn't save onto the actual document.

Apple Pencil use in Notes I use Notes to make typed “to do” lists and would like to use my Apple Pencil to cross out completed tasks. I can use it if my notes are handwritten, but not to just make a check mark it cross out a typed line item. What am I doing wrong? My pencil is charged and works fine in other applications.

Scribble feature for Pencil doesn’t work any longer in Note Feature no longer works—doesn’t convert to typed text. Immediately a popup for markup which let’s you select type of drawing and use Pencil but this is not the Scribble feature “Use Apple Pencil to handwrite in any text area to convert it into type.” Only option is to use in Markup / as a Drawing. Works in Reminder and actually here. iPadIOS 15.2
