Does fall detection require cellular?
How does a non-cellular Watch contact emergency services? Do you need your iPhone nearby? And how does it work in areas with no cell service?

Which watch do you own? GPS or GPS+ Cellular. In either, in order to have your watch reach out to emergency services, you need to have a companion phone nearby if you have a GPS only watch, or if you have a GPS+ Cellular watch, it will reach out to emergency services even if your iPhone isn't nearby. But it won't do very well in an area where there is no cell service, or you can't be connected via Wifi for Wifi calling.
