AppleTV has no sound on fire stick

I downloaded AppleTV on my fire stick and there is no sound. Everything else on my fire stick has sound, but when I open the AppleTV app it’s totally silent. I uninstalled the app, and restarted and unplugged the fire stick several times now. Does anyone know if there is a solution? I have Dolby digital + off as my device does not support it.

Apple TV Audio There is no sound coming out of my tv when I use my apple tv device to watch tv through streaming apps. However there is sound when I scroll around the different apps or the shows within the app. It is not until I click the show to watch that there is no sound. This is for a number of streaming services. I was wondering if this has been seen before and if there is a way to fix it?
