iPhone 12 will not turn off or open apps

My iphone is somehow locked up...I cannot open any apps, I cannot turn the phone off. I have tried the Right side button with each of the volume buttons, nothing happens and I cannot open settings to do it that way. I have asked Siri to open settings and it cannot be done. There appears to be a black screen that is open in the background that I can't swipe up and close....I think it is my camera app but nothing is opening.
