How can I get the calendar icon back on my page? I must have inadvertently deleted it?

It must be in the App Library. Swipe left to the very last screen (the App Library screen), locate the Calendar app in one of the folders, long-press it and tap Add to Home Screen.
You should have found one with the exact name of "Calendar". Open this link in Safari on your iPad to get it in the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/calendar/id1108185179.
It is possible. Have you looked in the App Library to see if it was there?

I looked. It wasn’t there. I tried to find out how to reload it. It said I had to go to the App Store and use the exact name of the calendar. I didn’t know what it was. I saw one called “iCalender” and figured that sounded likely, so I opened it. It did not look like the same Calendar, but it had some of my entries in it. ,!! It didn’t work well. Kept freezing. I guess all I can do is wait and see if another update fixes it and brings it back for me.

Just before I lost the calendar I had done the IOS15 software update. I wonder it that has anything to do with it.
