I provided a response explaining how solution did not work and Apple literally censored the post, rejecting it saying "We’ve removed your post Numbers for Catalina because it contained either feedback or a feature request that were not constructive."
If there is a download available it will be via the Mac App Store.
If it's not there then it's time to update your MacOS.

If you look at the information on my account, you will see I am using an early 2013 MacBook Pro that cannot be updated beyond Catalina. This does not present to option to upgrade OS X further. The App Store does not provide a previous version download link that will work on my system. Surly Apple has an alternative link I can use to the appropriate version to avoid the need for third party software? Can you please look into this and get back to me? Thanks! (Planned obsolescence is a bitch.)
This is a user-to-user forum. I'm a user just like you. You can give feedback to Apple directly via Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu, or try contacting support.
My understanding, though, is that if you don't see it on the Mac App Store then you won't be able to get it.
Numbers has come a long way since Catalina. If you want to have a good experience you should consider upgrading your hardware to support it.
