Payment details

Dear Sirs!

I have a problem with payment on all the apps I have on my IPhone. I've already contacted with my bank service and they said that they don't have any problem with those payments - it's all about Apple.

My credit card has expired like 3 months ago, so it was reissued. After that I've changed the details of my new card in IPhone settings... and the problem has started...

Once in three times all is fine but 2 of three times my payment is being blocked.

Please help! =)

Best regards,

Krylov Ilia

Review this document about what to do "If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store" Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT203005 It mostly just suggests you make sure your payment method is up to date or to try a different one. Apple is probably just checking with the system linking to your financial institution and asking if the payment method is valid. The system is providing a negative response. Make sure the name and address are entered exactly as it appears on your financial institution bills and that the 3 digit CVV is correct. Check with your financial institution about the status of your card.

Make sure this is one of the 'Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID'; click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT202631 For most people this means a card from the same country as the store you are using, but read the part at the bottom of the support document for specifics. Also read any footnotes in the document for a payment method.

If you still have problems, contact official Apple Support. Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/ Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your payment method tied to your Apple ID.

Do you also use this card for Wallet and Apple Pay? If so, do you have it linked from Apple Pay to your Apple ID?

To confirm, you would go to Settings > Name > Media & Purchases > View Account > Manage Payments.

The primary payment listed would say Apple Pay.

If it is not linked with Apple Pay, it would just list the last four digits of the card number.

If a payment method is linked to Wallet and also your Apple ID, any changes to the billing address, card number and expiration, etc would need to be updated in the Wallet app.

You would not be able to update the billing info for your Apple ID in Payment & Shipping or Media & Purchases.

If the old card is still associated to Wallet, remove it and add the updated one.

Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > click on the affected card > scroll to the bottom and click Remove this Card.

You can then add the new card to Wallet.

Once you remove the affected card from Wallet, your payment method for your Apple ID will revert back to the card on file before linking it with Apple Pay.

To update the payment method, go to Settings > Name > Media & Purchases > View Account > Manage Payments

If the issue is unrelated to Apple Pay, are you receiving an error message that your payment can’t be used within the iTS?

If you see the old card and expiration listed, i would recommend going to the Apple ID website to update the payment: https://appleid.apple.com/

Hope this helps!
