Change region

i currently live outside of the US for a job but based in the US and due to return. I am trying to change the region on my apple account to get access to certain apps I need and it keeps telling me I have subscriptions that are preventing me from changing the region. Needless to say, I checked and do not have my subscriptions. any ideas?
