For the last couple of days I couldn't search for music on my Mac. Any time I try to search for something, I get "no results for [query]" and "try again". It can't find anything at all. I have the latest version of MacOS and the Music app. Tips online didn't help.

We understand the search in Music is not working. We're happy to help.
Now to start, when you're entering something into the search bar, on the right side of the music window where it has the location it's searching (Apple Music or Your Library) which one do you have it set to? Are you unable to search in both locations, or do you just get this message when searching one of the locations?

Just let us know so we can narrow down if the issue is coming from the Apple Music service, or the actual Music application.

It's set to Apple Music and it doesn't work for a couple of days now and there is a number of similar issues in this forum. Using VPN doesn't help, restarting macOS also doesn't help.

3. Artists' artwork disappeared. In the left bottom corner it says “Updating artist artwork”.
I have the same problem. I was on macOS 11.4, thought this may be an issue and updated to 11.6.1 — didn't help.
What's interesting is that if I log out of my account in Music app, the search starts to work. But if I then log in, it stops working again. So it seems like the issue is somehow related to the account/Apple Music service, not the app.
P.S. The search works on iPhone and iPad.

I did just that and it worked. I changed the language back to Russian and it still works. Amazing, thanks. Although I didn't test if it worked prior to trying this solution, so I can't be 100% sure :)
Same problem, macOS 12.0.1 (MacBook Pro 2020), I noticed this maybe a week (or a few weeks) ago.
But this problem appears constantly (since Apple Music came to our lives).
Also started to happen about a week ago for me on Mac mini M1 2020.
I'm not sure if this problem is only related to the country where the account was registered, but I see here screenshots with Russian, and I also have this problem with such acc.
I also thought about that. My account is also Russian, but currently I'm in a different country (in EU).

So I logged out of my Russian account and the search works. Logged in back, doesn't work again.
I'm from Turkey and I've had the same problem for the last few days. I have a 2021 14 inch M1 Pro machine.
The search suddenly started working again for me today.
Try to change system language from Russian (or maybe any Cyrillic) to English. Strange solution, but it works in my case.
Mine also started working again magically... I didn't do anything.
