My Magic Mouse if from 2012. All the suggestions for connection have failed me. I cannot connect my Magic Mouse--not Magic Mouse 2 after following all the directions for checking if Bluetooth is on, for changing batteries, for checking that green light is showing, etc.

Bought a new Magic Mouse when mine quit. Can't get it to connect to desktop computer. Went to system settings, bluetooth, tried turning mouse off and on again. No connection. I have had this problem with the magic mouse losing connection to bluetooth since last upgrade by Apple to ioS Monterey 12.0.1

When is Apple going to address this flaw?
