How do I know how much storage space I am using in the cloud on my iPhone and MacBook Air.

Mac: Settings > Apple ID. There's a bar at the bottom with coloured blocks which tell you how much space is being used by different media types. This is based on Big Sur (you don't state what version of macOS you're running, so YMMV).


iOS/iPadOS: Tap Settings, tap your name, then tap 'iCloud' (this is based on iPadOS/iOS 15.1). You'll see a similar bar with different coloured segments, which correspond to different media types.
