Most of these code texts are SMS, which is a cellular use. So, make sure that your cellular account has an SMS plan on it. Also verify that your bank has the correct number to send the SMS to.

Great to hear. However, it would be good to share some information in case someone searches the web and finds this because they are experiencing a similar problem. No personal details of course, but general information about how it was resolved would be very nice.
My guess is that you are referring to APN data to get text messages? If so, that only applies to carriers that allow users to edit that information, not all do. They provide all of their settings in the carrier file. However, I'm glad they were able to allow you to do that and get your problem fixed.
